Jeff Carstetter moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1977 and founded what would become Sun Shades and Graphics in 1980. What started as a window tinting operation has grown over four decades to include solar shades, retractable awnings, permanent awnings, and decorative film — but the mission has never changed.
Every product we carry, every installation we perform, is in service of the same simple goal: help people enjoy their homes more. Whether that means blocking the Carolina sun from baking a living room, shading a patio so a family can eat dinner outside, or frosting a window for privacy — we’re here to make it happen.
Over the years Jeff has expanded the business carefully — only adding products he believes in, only partnering with suppliers he trusts. That’s why we carry Sunesta awnings and LLumar window films and nothing else. Not because we haven’t looked at alternatives, but because these two companies make products our customers are genuinely happy with.
